Just as the civil war was being resolved, some problems started to occur in the western region of Darfur, Sudan, in the early1970s between the pastoral tribes. The rebels were accusing the government that they were neglecting Darfur in the economic area, although there is uncertainty regarding the objectives of the rebels and whether they merely seek an improved position for Darfur within Sudan or outright secession. The government and rebels were both held responsible in this war, however Arab militias known as the Janjaweed, have also been mostly to blame. They were armed men appointed by the administration to stop the crazy disputes happening between Darfur tribes. The Janjaweed have been engaging in Genocide and the fighting has displaced thousands of people. Most of them wanted to neighbor Chad. The people of Sudan will start to die, and will suffer because of starvation.
